During the 2017 edition, Baguette Academy participated for the first time to the exhibition but also to the first start-up battle organized by the SIRHA.
The innovative solution providing online and multilingual training in professional bakery and pastry has been particularly appreciated by the jury since Baguette Academy won the SIRHA prize but also the “coup de cœur” one (French expression for the ‘jury’s favourite’).
Given the French expertise and “savoir faire” in these professions, exporting the knowledge of French artisans by making a quality training more accessible replies to a growing interest towards French products all around the world.

Indeed, for the first time, this event wishes to enhance the digital innovation of the catering sector through a dedicated space, the “Village start-up”, in which 12 young companies will be present. Of course, Baguette Academy accepted to participate in this event.
Every two years, the French and international professionals of the catering and hotel industry gather for 5 intense days, during which the last innovations in terms of service, materials and products are presented.

This is an event not to be missed for gastronomy and catering enthusiasts.
The 2015 edition received 1,889,000 visitors, and represented 11 sectors with 3,045 exhibitors, a true incarnation of the global market of catering, hotel industry and food.
Alongside spaces reserved for delicatessen, hotel industry, coffee facilities, equipment or products of the region, the bakery plays a central role with a dedicated hall (hall 4). The exhibition will therefore be the perfect place during 5 days to meet professionals, to exchange on new techniques and to go over the basics, but also to taste quality products !
For its first participation, Baguette Academy has also been selected as a partner by GRDF, the sponsor of the Young Bakers International Competition. For the exhibition, Baguette Academy especially developped a contest on a digital medium to promote the bakery profession, and takes part in the discovery course of innovating companies organized by GRDF.
